Frequently asked questions
Is a chemical peel painful?
Most clients feel a mild warmth or tingling — comparable to a brief sunburn sensation. The Bright & Even and Pigment Correct peels are stronger than the No Peel Peel and may have a more noticeable feel during application.
How soon will I see results?
Brightening and smoother texture are typically visible within 3–5 days of your first peel. A course of 4–6 sessions delivers cumulative, longer-lasting results, with pigmentation improvements building gradually over several weeks.
Which peel is right for me?
Your consultation will assess your skin in detail and recommend the best peel — or combination — for your specific concerns. There's no one-size-fits-all answer, which is why every treatment is customised.
Can I wear makeup afterwards?
We recommend avoiding makeup for 24 hours after the Bright & Even and Pigment Correct peels. The No Peel Peel allows makeup straight away. Mineral SPF is essential daily throughout your course.
How should I prepare for treatment?
Avoid retinols, exfoliating acids, sun exposure and sunbeds for at least one week before your appointment. We'll provide a full personalised pre-care guide at your consultation.
Treatments at Skin Rehab are provided by an Independent Nurse Prescriber registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). A consultation is required before treatment. Services are for adults aged 18 and over. Individual results may vary.
